Three security-boosting steps to perform on every router
There are so many tricks available to hack any wifi password,
some use Linux or some use application software. So you need to protect your
wifi device from these unauthorized accesses. Today I am going to tell you the
three needful steps to protect your wifi device.
You have to change your login credentials for your wifi
device, default login details are easily and all known.
Use WPA2
Always use wpa2 security type, most critical security type
to hack. WPA2 is considered the best way to secure your router connection. This
standard works by encrypting all traffic between devices and the router, making
it much harder for anyone to nab your data as it travels through the air.
Use an uncomfortably long password
Always use 20 to 30 character password as a wifi network
password, long passwords are difficult to hack for anyone, the extra effort
pays off with a more secure password that keeps the bad guys off your network.
Those are just three basic things, but once you're inside
your router there are all kinds of other settings you could tweak such as
changing the Wi-Fi broadcast channel, change the channel width, adjust your NAT
settings, and configure port forwarding.
